[028] Video/Action Goldenrod

[Today, it's not China's face or voice that is heard on the network, but that of his newly evolved Eevee--now Glaceon--Meimei. She's resting on the bed her master sleeps on while said master is in the bathroom taking a shower (with the door locked). She speaks a language that only Pokemon could understand.]

What do you all do when your master isn't with you? Because... [She sends a glance at the bathroom door.] I'm so bored. Or better yet, how do you propose I get him out of there quicker?

[It looks at the picture for a moment, trying to figure out why a master would keep it if they didn't like it.]



[Because the idea that he could take it off in the bathroom never once crosses Munchlax's mind. Not once.]

[Meimei begins gnawing at the picture, but just as she does, the bathroom door is opened and China steps out dressed in a blue bathrobe. His wet hair was not in it's usual ponytail. He dabs at his face with a towel.]

Meimei~ I am-- [Then he sees all the chewed up items, along with his Glaceon nibbling at a picture. He throws the towel aside.]

Aiyaa! Meimei, what did you do, aru?!

[Munchlax will just jump up and down excitedly, because it's idea worked.]



[It is the smartest Munchlax ever, obviously. Now you will surely get love and affection. However, it's owner has now noticed his pokémon has his gear.]

[She puts down the picture and smiles nervously at the Munchlax.]

Hey, who are you talking to, Meimei? [He picks up the gear.]

[Munchlax would respond, but the 'gear is pulled out of its paws before it can do much else, the soviet looking a little worse for wear as he looks at the screen.]

I do not know, exactly, but it seemed as though he was talking to Meimei.

Oh, but that's not the problem here, aru! Meimei chewed on some of my books and pictures while I was in the shower.

[He picks up one of the ruined books.]

[It can't be seen, but there is the obvious sound of a Munchlax getting some sort of head trauma via the soviet's fist. He comes back on the screen a few moments later.]

Can you replace books? Did get them here did you not?

[He's trying to see a bright side, he really is.]

[China mumbles something along the lines of, "What are you doing to that poor Pokemon?" However, it is barely audible.]

I suppose I could. I am just glad she didn't chew on the ones I brought from home, aru.

[Not sure, if that was a bright side, but it was better than nothing. He cracks a smile.]

That is true. Before, I would go look for tree branches, aru. [His smile grows a little.] I hope you have been able to keep warm?

[It's getting its daily 'headpat', no big deal- this is a very normal process for the both of them nowadays.]

Am warm enough Yao- I have been in colder places as you know. What uniform can not keep out scarf does, so am well enough.

[He's a little surprised that Yao was able to bring writings with him, then again Yao does a lot of things the Russian doesn't quite understand- he will forever be a source of mystery.]

you are lucky Yao- I have nothing on me other than my ration book, my star and my hip flask- everything else just vanished.

I just happened to be carrying them with me before I was taken to this place, aru. Sun Tzu's Art of War and a Chinese novel. Any weapons that I might have had on me, though, were gone when I awoke here. [It was only a letter opener too.]

But that is why we have the Pokemon, aru. They have their special abilities while we do not.

I see- should have put more than essentials in pockets I think. And yes, pokémon are very powerful as have now seen.

[He's been shocked and almost flamethrower'd, he finally believes pokémon are not all like his.]

[He becomes a bit nervous and twirls one of his wet locks around his finger.]

We are both doing well, aru. Another friend of ours has just returned home, though, so we are a bit saddened at the moment.

We cannot leave by free choice, aru. I know that much since I tried willing it to happen in the past, but it didn't work.

[He ponders this for a moment, pinching the bridge of his nose for a minute as if it helped him think better. It was a little haphazard, by info pooling was info pooling. He might as well use the opportunity.]

What about these badges? Have heard people collect badges under idea they get sent home when all are found- does that idea hold any weight?

[After all, while hanging out with a overly dumb fish and a fat greedy mutt in a dress was... wonderful he really did need to start setting some goals for himself.]

Any other rumors I can look into too I am supposing.

I heard of that rumor too, but I just recently spoke to someone who has collected all the badges, aru. He said the rumor about going home afterwards is false.

[So it looked like he was going to be collecting the badges just to keep himself entertained from now on.]

There is another rumor that has to do with the badges. They say at some point, you get something from your world, aru.

A young girl by the name of Cocona. Hong Kong introduced me to her, aru.

After she won her fifth badge and set foot into Olivine, she heard music that she used to hear back home. Songs are really important in her world, you see? They use what they call "song magic."

I'm not sure, I will just have to wait and see. It would be nice to hear some music from home, or just about anything from home would be good.

Hmm... Is something going on in Goldenrod for weekend anyway, maybe once is over should work way to easy gyms for badges... Need something to do when weekends excitement is over.

Ah, yes, I have heard! A paintball game is supposed to take place here, aru. [He smiles.]

I will be more than happy to tell you some information on the easy gyms, aru. Though I only have one badge, I've heard some things about the other gym leaders and the Pokemon they use.
