[025] Video/Action Ecruteak (Burned Tower)

[Good evening, Route, tonight China can be found within the Burned Tower. He's stepping along the floorboards carefully, so they won't collapse under his weight. China's voice can be heard off camera.]

This is where the three Pokemon were resurrected by the legendary Ho-Oh, aru... I wonder where they are n--Wa!

[One of the boards collapses under China's foot with a loud noise, causing him to stumble.]

[He peers around as China shows him the inside of the Tower.]

No, I haven't. I mean, I've passed it, but never went inside. I might go and take a look.

If you do, watch where you're walking and take light steps, aru. The floor here is sort of unstable, the ceiling too...

[He points the camera up to show the crumbling ceiling with holes in it.]

I came here in hopes of finding out more on the legendary Ho-Oh and the other three Pokemon, aru.

I'll remember that. It looked fairly unstable from the outside.

[He does perk up at the mention of the legendary Pokemon. He's always been fascinated by legends, no matter the type.]

If you do find anything, I'd love to hear about it.

Of course! Although, all I've found so far are the charred remains of what this temple used to be, but I'm going to look for a bit longer, aru!

Also... I tried to enter the other tower, but the monks wouldn't let me in. They said I was not worthy, aru. [He's visibly disappointed about it.]

It sounds as though there's something there that's a bit more important than burned remains. Wonder what they're hiding.

[Because everyone is hiding something.]

I agree. I don't know what it is, but I can... feel something here, aru. Like some sort of spiritual presence.

Who knows. Besides, telling me that I wasn't worthy, they said that Ho-Oh is only seeking out a trainer with a pure heart, aru.

[That certainly wasn't someone easy to find.]

A Pokemon? Or something more... Hm. [It was an intriguing puzzle and piqued England's interest.]

Heh, guess none of our kind really qualifies for that, do we?

I don't know, aru. The only Pokemon I've ran into here so far have been Raticate, Koffing, and Zubat. Unless there's ghost-types floating about... [Speaking of ghost-types, a Gengar suddenly appears behind China, looking very happy.]

[China chuckles.] I guess not, aru. Unless we could somehow turn back time and become small children again.

Even then... I suppose we might have been innocent once.

[England blinks sharply as the ghostly figure pops up behind China, grinning happily, and England cannot help but give a little wave, smiling back at it.]

O-oh... China... there's...

[Wait... why was England waving? Come to think of it, what was this sudden chill going up his spine? China turns his head and jumps away from the Gengar slightly.]

Gyaa! N-Nie, I keep telling you not to do that, aru!

Gengar~~

[The Gengar, Nie, just wraps her arms around China in a hug. Although, she looks a little too happy...]

[Wait! That was a Pokemon? China's Pokemon? There were Pokemon that were ghosts and... Oh, England might just be a bit in love right now.]

She's yours?

Well, technically she is Hong Kong's, but after he left I decided to take her under my wing, aru. She's a good girl, but she keeps sneaking up on me like that.

[She does a lot more than sneaking up on him, actually. China just doesn't know. She uses her powers to follow him everywhere without getting caught...]

Oh, I see. She would have suited Hong Kong, I think.

[He remembers him playing tricks too.]

That's what I thought too, aru. Still, I was surprised when I met Nie. She was the first Ghost-type Pokemon that I encountered here.

I can imagine that being a surprise. Not every day most people see ghosts.

The Misdreavus are quite cute, aru! They look as though they have long hair trailing behind them.

O-oh... I'll have to see if I can find one then.

[He really wants to see one. Doesn't even necessarily have to catch one. Just talk to one.]

I haven't met one in the wild yet, but I have heard that they can be found around outside of Cianwood, aru. They are supposed to be hard to find, though, and they only come out at night.

I wouldn't mind having one, but I think one ghost-type is enough for me at the moment, aru.

[He gives Nie a pat on the head.]

I'll have to see when I visit Cianwood then. They sound rather charming and I'm sure I can take a few late nights.

[And oh, China patting the ghost is rather adorable and he shouldn't be thinking of that as adorable but it is.]

They tend to play less pranks than the Gastly do, aru.

[Don't even get him started on all the pranks Nie's done to him.]

I can't help but think of Korea when Nie's around me.

Pranks? Sounds like you've had a fun time.

[He smiles wistfully.]

Ah, I can see why.

Oh, yes, very fun, aru. [/sarcasm]

[He sighs.]

I still cannot believe it's been half a year since he left, Korea, I mean.

[England smiles sadly.]

That's the worst thing here, the uncertainty. You never know if someone will be gone tomorrow.

That's true, but you never know when someone will come back either, aru.

Life is always full of surprises, both pleasant and unpleasant.

I've never been particularly optimistic in that area, especially not recently.
