[006] Fourth Wall | Video/Action whoever

[The gear turns on, but all you see is snow and it looks as though there's a storm occurring. It also seems as though the gear was dropped and then turned on by accident, because it seems to be perched on a mound of snow. You see Yao standing in the midst of the blizzard. He's holding Li and Ling in his arms, both pokemon are covered in bruises and cuts. Yao himself is shivering since his soldier uniform does little to protect him from the cold. If you look closely, you will notice that his skin is slightly blue. However, because he is not human, he hasn't frozen to death... yet.]

[His Gyarados Lien-Hua is before him as though protecting him, her red eyes are burning fiercely towards the dark sky. She is also covered in bruises and cuts, but she's still standing. Then, a screech echoes throughout the area. Yao clutches Li and Ling closer to him while Lien-Hua emits a loud roar. Once everything is quiet again, nothing happens and only the sound of the wind can be heard. This goes on for a minute before a large, but beautiful, blue bird bursts through the dark clouds. A bright blue beam is released from its mouth, causing much of the fallen snow to fly several feet into the air.]

[Yao looks up at the bird.] WHAT DO YOU WANT?!

[Lien-Hua tries to bite at the bird as it flies past her, but she misses. The mysterious pokemon hovers a few feet away from her, returning the glare with its own red eyes. Yao grits his teeth. That thing was making fools of themselves!]

Lien-Hua, use Dragon Rage!

[Lien-Hua slightly tilts her head back before releasing a powerful beam from her mouth. It manages to hit the other pokemon and knocks it back. However, it regains its balance and emits another bright blue beam. This time at Yao. His brown eyes widen as the beam rockets towards him, but Lien-Hua throws herself in the beam's path and it hits her instead. She lets out a roar filled with pain and falls to the snow-covered ground.]

LIEN-HUA!!!

[Yao forces his freezing legs to take him to her side. He continues to hold Li and Ling as he kneels down in the snow by his "lotus flower." He cradles both Li and Ling in one arm so he can stroke Lien-Hua's face with the other. He strokes her gingerly.]

Lien-Hua... You were great. You deserve a nice long rest, aru. So, please, hang on.

[As he continues to stroke her, he sees that the snow was turning red. He gasps and stands up a little so he can look over Lien-Hua's body. There's a large gash across her front and her blood is making the snow around her change red.]

[Because he still doesn't know that the pokegear's on, let alone that he's dropped it, he lets a single tear trickle down his face and then another and another. The only way you'd be able to see his tears was if you looked very carefully. But he then turns his head away from the camera's direction and looks to where the blue bird should've been. Judging by his expression when he looks back at Lien-Hua, the bird was gone. You hear a weak noise come from Li and then Ling as they look up at Yao. Lien-Hua, on the other hand has lost consciousness and continues to lose blood.]

... Damn it. Damn it. DAMN IT!!! [His voice echoes and he still doesn't know that the gear is on, recording his every move.]

Yao! Where are you? Are you hurt?

[A familiar voice? So the gear was turned on? He keeps holding on to Li and Ling, and reluctantly leaves Lien-Hua's side as he searches for the pokegear. He uses his free arm to dig through the snow, but he can't seem to locate it.]

Dale?! I can hear you, but I can't find the gear! Where is it?

Forwards! And to your left! More left-
_{[He's shouting to be heard over the blizzard.]}

Whoa, Hyung-nim, you ok?

I can come if you need me!

[Forwards... left... He felt the gear and when he looked down he saw the light coming from the screen, along with Dale's image on it. He picks it up, but his hands are trembling.]

I got it, aru. As for where I am, I don't know... At first I thought I was in Russia, but then that huge, blue bird attacked and I knew for certain this couldn't be Russia.

K-Korea?

[He looks around to see if his brother's in the area, but all he sees is snow, which could only mean the other's voice was coming from the pokegear. He squints his eyes as he tries to find the light being given off by the screen.]

[It doesn't take long before he manages to find it. He leaves Lien-Hua's side briefly to retrieve the gear and comes back to her.] I'm fine, but all my pokemon are hurt. Lien-Hua's in the worst condition! And I don't know where I am! I thought I might have been in Russia, but this is...

_{[This is probably the most scared/concerned you've ever seen Cooper before. He speaks very quickly.]}

Are you okay? Can you get out of there? Is the bird still in your vicinity?

[Yao returns to Lien-Hua's side.]

I'm alright. I'm freezing, but I'm okay. It's my pokemon who are hurt, especially Lien-Hua. I don't think there's a pokemon center around here, but I can try to find a cave, aru.

As for that bird, I hope it's not around anymore... It just came out of nowhere and attacked. I thought that maybe if all three of my pokemon fought together we could at least scare it away, but they were all beaten, aru.

_{[Frown in concern deepens.]}

For absolutely no reason? I suppose maybe you were trespassing on its territory... Just get out of there, Yao. Recall your pokémon and try to find someplace safer.

That's what I'm beginning to think too, but I don't even know how I got here in the first place, aru. There was just this blinding light.

[He nods.] Right. First I need to tend to my pokemon's wounds real quick.

[He reaches for his backpack and quickly rummages through it before taking out three potions. He sprays Li and Ling with two of them. He watches as most of the bruises and cuts disappear. He calls them back into their pokeballs before tending to Lien-Hua. He moves to her front and carefully sprays the potion on her bleeding gash, which becomes smaller, but continues to bleed. Yao notices that his blue hands are covered in Lien-Hua's red blood and he shivers.]

[More to himself.] That should do it for now.

[He attaches the pokegear to his belt and stands up. He returns Lien-Hua to her pokeball and places it in his backback. He speaks to the gear.]

I'll just have to find a cave. At least there I can make a fire and maybe even give Lien-Hua stitches for her wound, aru.

Absolutely. As long as you get out of that particular area I have no doubt things will work out for you and your companions.
_[Pause.]

I don't think I can help you from here _{[the Ilex Forest is in the background]} but if there's anything I can do, just let me know.

[The screen turns off.]

[When the screen turns on again an hour later, the image is a blur of brown. It soon becomes clear as Yao adjust the camera. He's in a large cave and a good-sized fire is burning behind him. His skin is still blue, but he's not shivering anymore. Also in the background are Li and Ling, they're curled up in blankets and are sleeping by the fire.]

Looks like I made it out alive, aru. [He sighs and sits down by the fire.] Once the blizzard stops, I'll try to find a way back to Violet City. My brothers are still back there, after all.

Russia? How would you get to Russia?

But don't worry, Hyung-nim! I'll come help!

_{[Cooper looks relieved at this and nods.]}

I'm happy to see that you did. Can you check the gear for your location? Finding your way back is a lot easier when you know where you are.
_{[He's lost himself. Forests are confusing.]}

Like hell I'd know! [He catches himself and gives the screen an apologizing look.] I'm sorry, I'm just really worried about my pokemon, aru.

No! You musn't come here, aru! If you do then that bird will also attack you! I mean, since it suddenly attacked me that's a sign that I've trespassed into its territory and I have no doubts it will do the same to you and your pokemon, aru.

Let me see... [He tries checking his location like Cooper said, but the screen just shows him static. He shakes his head and returns the gear to video mode.]

The blizzard must be interfering with my reception, aru. I'll have to wait until it stops, or at least until it's less fierce.

[He moves the gear so the camera lands on Lien-Hua. She's still unconscious and still has a few cuts and bruises, but she has stitches on her front where her gash should have been.] I'll just keep on eye on her. Good thing I found a big cave, huh? [He chuckles for the first time today.]

I hope you won't be forced to remain there for too long. In that kind of storm, I don't think anyone would be able to find you, unless blessed with a great amount of luck.
_{[Cooper lightens up a little at that chuckle and nods.]}

A very good thing indeed.

[Nevermind not knowing what the heck is going on] Brother?!

I hope not either, aru. Still, compared to the other things I've been through, this actually isn't so bad. As long as I can move, I'll be fine, aru. Also, I prefer that no one comes, aru. If they do, then that bird might attack them too.

Thank goodness I still have my needle and thread, or who knows what kind of state Lien-Hua would be in, aru.

[No way... That voice...]

[His head snaps up and he looks around.] Vietnam?! You're here, aru?!

It's an even better thing that you had the knowledge on how to treat that kind of wound in the first place. It's an admirable skill.

[She tries to get to him ~~she will literally run down a wall with a car if she had to!~~]

Somehow, I don't know how? I don't even know what is going on. Are you alright?

[He smiles.] Haha, it's something that they taught me when I was still a child, aru. Come to think of it, they taught me many things when I was still small. My favorite nursemaid, for example, taught me how to sew, aru. That's why I was carrying needle and thread in the first place.
