[The screen starts with America there, looking a bit messy, but after a second he proudly lifts up his new Growlithe and Houndour puppies, laughing and smiling happily.]

Hey! Look what I got this afternoon!

[A curious Shinx tries to get in front of the gear too, before Growlithe starts to try and wiggle out of his arm to get to the screen and tramples on the poor cub. It's all lots of fun really.]

I hope you're well, anyway! I mean, I know you're kinda staying in one place at the moment, so at least you have the luxury of a bed. [He laughs this off.] But I found someone to travel with, by the way! So it's a lot of fun now.

Though, uh, yeah. I just wanted to say hi!

[Blip!]

I know you don't celebrate it, but I wanted to wish it anyway so---

[There's an audible sound of fabric rustling for a moment as America moves to sit down, and a soft sigh-like noise for a moment, he's thinking of how to... word this.]

I know I talked to you earlier and all, but... [China can't see it, but he does shut his eyes. He also ruffles his hair up a little, which might be heard through the gear.]

I just wanted to say it again. I hope you get better soon, okay? [Long pause.]

[The video starts with him at the Inn at Violet City, giving a cheerful smile that will hopefully spread across.]

So those Pokemon I showed you before? We're getting on pretty well now. I picked names too! Though that didn't take long at all. I think Freedom... uh. [There's a pause as he pans to his Pidgey that's just chilling on the bed.] Is getting pretty annoyed with how much we're all playing around.

[He laughs.] It's pretty cute actually.

Anyway, I hope you're actually starting to heal up more now and the painkillers are helping!

[Blip!]

[As soon as the feed starts it's easy to hear something is up. America takes a deep breath, tries to calm himself as he starts up the... message.]

Yao. We need to talk.

[Okay, maybe the anger isn't completely gone, but he's doing his best to control it.]

[There will be no reply to this one since China is just starting his road to recovery from the fight with Russia (and still sleepy from the drugs).]

[Why is he not surprised by the names. He's got a half smile on his face.]

[No one is surprised by the names, they are glorious. He's going to have an army of Pokemon named after his principles, the Founding Fathers and Presidents. With maybe a few others.]

[He sounds calm, though he does hear the hidden anger in the other's voice.]

[Oh there's a lot of anger there, and a lot more confusion and stuff too. Not a lot is making sense right now.]

I woke up to a drunken voice mail from Ivan this morning.

[He takes another deep breath, yelling down the phone won't solve anything.]

Honestly? I just wanted to know why you thought it'd be a good idea to tell him what you did.

She's a Princess! And uh, she used to be a unicorn in her world or something? I'm not really sure of the details. It's interesting though!

[He pauses to curb his excitement.]

It is a nice thing to know that people are concerned about you. [Though, sometimes they're concerned in a negative way too.]

[And China's already named at least two of his female Pokemon after some of his empresses.]

I suppose so. Besides, I can't really do much the way I am now, only talk and use one hand.

[This one is entirely genuine though, as he does feel really bad for him and such. It's much harder for them when they wouldn't even get to such a state normally. Usually, anyway.]

Well, there you go then! Talking's definitely a good thing to do. It passes time and helps you learn about other people and everything.

[He says this... when is he ever listening...?]

Oh... [Not that he's surprised the other attempted to drown his sorrows with alcohol, but he's still worried, despite America's anger.]

... Someone would have told him eventually. If not, then he would have found out on his own, aru. Besides, I tried not to say anything about the Cold War because I knew what kind of reaction it would produce. [AKA I was only trying to protect him.]

[He draws a shaky breath for a second, and the laugh that follows kind of... cracks a little.]

I don't know how much you even said or anything but. I think it was more than enough for what he could deal with.

[He pauses, going quieter.]

I'm heading to meet him now. It's going to take a few days though.

[He still sounds a bit angry though, that's probably not going to go away for a while.]

A unicorn? I've met some women who used to be ponies before, but never a unicorn.
